Longreach Heading South
Before leaving Longreach I visited the Stockmans Hall of Fame and headed down the road to Barcaldine.
The Chair of Knowledge Barcldine
After Barcaldine continued a long east to Rubyvale in in gem feilds, what an eye opener, it reminded me of Nimbin only the little packs offered to you in the pub had bits of broken glass looking stuff in them and not plant based. From Rubyvale went and explored Canarvan Gorge and a 23 k walk in one day the legs told the story the next day.
On a farm stay west of Roma and leaving today to head towards St George.
A visitor who never left.

Finally Found My Way To Cairns
After leaving Bingal Bay just north of Mission Beach I had the beach bug so headed north detouring via Parenalla Park which is on the old Bruce Hwy, an amazing place and would recommend a must see.
Went further north and back on to the Bruce and found a turn off to Bramston Beach so had to check it out, found a great camp site on the beach good rates and stayed four nights. Explored the national park and the creek areas and saw my first croc in the wild about a meter long and on the other side of the creek, thank you.
Left Bramston to head in land to the Bolbers west of Babinda another must see, some amazing bird life but no cassowary sited yet.
But as the area fights with Tully over who has the most rain fall and I got it decided to head north for cairns, drove for about 20 mins. and finally saw the sun although have some showers. Going to do the Kuranda trian and sky rail tomorrow.
